A Power of Attorney (POA) allows you to appoint a person or persons to handle your financial affairs for you. A POA document will need to be provided to Merced County Employees' Retirement Association (MCERA) if any person wishes to conduct business with MCERA on behalf of a member. Generic versions of a POA form may be obtained at many office supply stores. The completed, notarized document must contain language pertaining to pension management.
