Pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC) Section 5848(a), the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) requires an inclusive and on-going Community Planning Process to gather input about experiences with MHSA Programs and the current mental health system; to gauge the overall impact and effectiveness of such programs; to record recommendations for improvement of programs and processes; and to acknowledge feedback regarding future and/or unmet needs.
Community Planning Process provides a structured process that the County uses in partnership with stakeholders in determining how best to improve existing programs and to utilize funds that may become available for the MHSA components.
