Adult and Aging Services assist elderly and disabled adults to achieve the greatest degree of independence by providing services which promote dignity and respect. Services include:
Transportation
Health insurance counseling
Home-delivered meals
Legal assistance
Family caregiver support
It also protects and provides services to dependent adults and seniors who are victims of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

The Area Agency on Aging
The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) programs are also run through Merced County Human Services Agency. AAA administers programs for the Older American's Act. These programs are notated with (AAA) after the program title.

You are invited to the Merced County World Elder Abuse Awareness Health Fair. The purpose of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is to provide an opportunity for communities around the world to promote a better understanding of abuse and neglect of older persons.
