Additional Responsibilities

The County Counsel, or his designee:

  • Prepares ordinances and resolutions for enactment by the Board of Supervisors
  • Reviews and/or prepares all contracts, forms, and other documents necessary for the County to conduct its business in a legally sufficient manner

Requirements

The County Counsel, or his designee, is required to do significant factual investigative and legal research and must have an in-depth knowledge of the laws governing, and relating to, municipal, county, federal, state, and district governments.
