If you have questions that have not been satisfactorily answered by other staff, or your inspector was unavailable, or you have a complex code question or need assistance with a complex problem; or have questions about the building inspection process. If your Building Inspector or Plan Reviewer has been unable to resolve your problem, or you need a code interpretation; if you have questions or comments about Building and Safety Division policies or procedures, general comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact Dewayne Jones (Deputy Building Official).

Building Inspectors can answer questions about your building projects. To resolve questions or receive clarification if you have received a letter or notice of correction directing you to correct code violations or submit revised documents, please contact the inspector who issued the notice or violation. To arrange special times for inspections requested the previous day, call on the day of inspection from 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM (Building Inspectors are only available in the office from 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM). To request a building permit fee estimate or resolve questions regarding permit fees charged by the Building and Safety Division; to determine if your permit is ready to be issued; scheduling of inspections; requests for general information about building permits and to request copies of documents from previous building permits.

Staff responsible for the review and approval of building plans for general compliance with the California Building Codes. To resolve questions or get assistance if you have received a letter or notice directing you to correct code violations or submit revised documents, please contact the plan review staff member specified in the correction letter.
