Mark has been with Merced County since July 15, 2008. Mark’s responsibilities include oversight of county-wide Information Technology, Communications, Geographic Information Systems, Public Safety Radio Communications, as well as general services functions that include Purchasing and Janitorial Services.
The office also serves as the controlling agency for the State of California’s 9-1-1 program for the county’s public safety answering point (PSAP) 9-1-1 Coordinator.
Mark’s previous public service includes nearly eight years as Director of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for Kings County and nine years in the United States Air Force.
Mark is a California State Association of Counties (CSAC) certified county executive and CSAC Fellow. In addition, he completed the National Association of Counties (NACo) High Performance Leadership Master Certification and attended other leadership courses including numerous emergency management courses.
Mark met his wife in high school and they have been married for more than 40 years. Mark and Lori enjoy spending time with their family and traveling.
